Portrait – Nadia Gabriel

Alright,

You know when you’re trying to organize a shoot for fun while you’re traveling across Europe, line up someone you met on a forum, then show up to the shoot and it turns out that they’re an ex-model and currently working on their Masters in Photography…

No?

…well that’s what happened when I met Scottish based Artist and Photographer Nadia Gabriel. Like my past shoots with Alex Theran and Rachel Cheng, Nadia picked a neighbourhood in Edinburgh and we explored for the better part of the afternoon.

Portrait – Ariana Brophy

Alright,

I had the pleasure of meeting Ariana Brophy years ago while she was on one of her many table tennis-esque journeys across Canada. Ariana is an Edmonton based multi disciplinary musician who has toured all over Canada. Recently she was nominated for Female Artist of the Year in the Edmonton Music Awards (so she’s kind of a big deal)! When she’s not touring she’s probably organizing some amazing grass roots community music event or drinking copious amounts of tea.

Recently we found ourselves in the same cities twice over the course of a couple weeks. So naturally, cameras were involved (disposable and the digital variety). Enjoy!

Personal – Walking the Great Glen Way

Alright,

Starting to chip away at my images from my recent trip to Scotland and Iceland. Thought I’d start off with a Timelapse of the 127km walk I did with my Dad all the way across Scotland on the Great Glen Way. Don’t worry, it’s less than 2 minutes (it took us 6 days).

All of these were shot about every 5-30 minutes on the trail with a GoPro HERO 4. You can see towards the end I get a little more trigger happy and that smooths out the motion a little more (hope you didn’t get too car sick). Stay tuned for more images!
