Got into Paris on the 11th on a late night train from Koln in Germany. The next day I took one of the Hostels free tours and checked out Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Eiffel Tower etc. The next day not feeling so hot but the weather was so nice I couldn’t not go see Versailles. Lasted about 2 hours on the grounds before giving up and making my way back to the hostel. Visted a French Pharmacy for some drugs and that was a scary experience when the Pharmacist doesn’t speak your language and you’re getting medicine based on hand gestures and miming….sketchy.

 

I’ve spent the last 48 hours devouring Robert Ludlum and OJ in my hostel bed. It’s funny how exhausting traveling can be. Guess it was just time for me to take a couple days off. I feel a little guilty living out of my hostel while there is the whole of Paris outside. At the same time I don’t want to get any worse. The medicine seems to be helping a little bit and I hope to have this thing beat by tomorrow so I can actually go out and see the city.

Tuesday I have booked a flight to go to Berlin. First flight within Europe so that should be interesting. After Berlin I plan to visit some family outside of Dortmund then back to Amsterdam for my flight out on the 30th. Then off to LA to hopefully get rid of my jet lag and get some nice weather in.
