This shoot was organized and taught by Chris Morris. It was held again at Phoenix Gymnastics where we had some incredibly talented athletes showing off what they can do. We had a little bit of a smaller class size this time so they had a lot more flexibility in how they could use the space.
Thanks to Heather McConnell for the snapshot!
I was recently asked to assist on shoot that Emily Pledge had lined up at Al Porto in Gastown. It was a retirement dinner for a local Judge (…if Judges can be considered local..) and she was asked to get a group shot of all the attendees. We arrived before all the guests to setup and test the lighting of the most epic background I’ve been involved with to date…
…that way once the guest of honor had arrived we could just pop in, throw all the lights up real quick, get Emily the frames she needed and then be out so they could enjoy the rest of their night. Once everyone had arrived it went off wonderfully and we were able to get all the images they needed to memorialize this moment. Look forward to working with Emily again in the future!
This shoot was organized and taught by Chris Morris. It was held at Grouse Mountain and we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather! I was stationed on the spot pictured below and could not have been more pleased with my location. We rigged up some lighting gear right underneath one of the jumps and the students shot some very brave skiers/boarders. I can’t even imagine thinking going off one of these 30′ jumps is a good idea and the tricks they pulled off were just ridiculous.
A huge thanks to Devin Manky Photography for hooking us up with some amazing access to the mountain as well as the use of some of the Snowcat’s to get around with all of our gear.
