I was recently at The Cambie and someone came up to me and asked me to “…describe yourself in 5 sentences”. I thought it was a really interesting way to get someone’s “story” as it were without going through the regular grocery list of questions Where’d you grow up? What school did you go to? Favorite color? blah blah blah…

When I gave them my answer they responded with “That was ambiguous but informative”. Since attending that presentation by Douglas Kirkland I’ve been thinking about doing a creative that involves portraiture and I think this very question might be the ticket…
