Alright,

Not one for Broadway shows I stumbled across something called Groupmuse. Essentially the site connects hosts and classical musicians. The host provides the space, food, and drinks. The musicians bid on the event and supply a selection of music. The audience provides a recommended $10 donation to cover all the costs. Some are in small bachelor apartments, some are in huge houses. Each event is different, definitely one of the cooler things I’ve seen in New York besides Debut.

As an audience member you say how many people you’d like to bring, a little about yourself and then the host approves your request then sends you the address.

The Groupmuse founder Sam Bodkin happened to be there the night I attended to give a little introduction to the night and the selection of music we were about to hear.
