Snapshot – Portrait

Digging through my archives to see where I’ve been image wise in the last couple years (read as: holy crap, what am I going to write about today!).  I was going through an old folder and came across this image here:

If you had talked to me in Photo School I would have said I want to work with people. People, people, people. The part I love about portraiture is having to quickly develop a relationship with a total stranger and make them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Of late, I’ve been shooting a lot of still life and architecture and I think that this comes mostly out of a tired-ness of pre-production. In school there was so much pre-production involved, photography stopped being fun.

I like architecture/still life because I can just grab my camera and go. The only person I’m accountable to is myself.

SO.

In an effort to get back into the whole swing of pre-production etc I’ve partnered with a Makeup Artist to execute a fantastic creative shoot. We’re in the process of nailing down some studio time, talent and a stylist. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

As always, stay tuned for awesome.

Wondering if anyone will find this? Message me if you do !
